Hey, Look! We're in the News!

Wow. My high school (where I work, not where I went) has been recognized by US News and World Reports. We were bronze medal, considering our population and student progress. (Too bad NCLB doesn't give any recognition to our population statistics. So what if 30% of our students are learning English? They should pass the ISTEP!) Only 29 schools in Indiana were recognized.

Of school (teaching and learning). Two more full weeks of teaching, and I have until the 17th to finish my papers for my master's classes. Yikes! Jared is under strict orders not to arrive until I have everything done. Hopefully, he's a good boy.

In other news, Tuvok (the cat) started showing up on our porch again recently. Come by and pet him.
